Summary of Key Changes
On July 23, 2022, we're making some changes to the Google Pay/Google Payments Additional Terms of Service. Here’s what’s changing:
- General updates for improved readability
While our Additional Terms remain a legal document, we’ve done our best to make them easier to understand. We’ve reorganized or rewritten some topics to make them easier to find and understand.
- Greater clarity on the relationship between these Additional Terms and other Google terms and policies
We’ve provided greater clarity about the relationship between the Google Pay/Google Payments Additional Terms of Service, the Google Payments Privacy Notice, and the Google Terms of Service.
- Storage of items
We've clarified that storage of non-payment items, such as loyalty cards, reward program cards, transit passes, and boarding passes, is covered by the Google Terms of Service, not the Google Pay/Google Payments Additional Terms of Service.
